Technology
Why sodium citrate
This is not our invention and not a feature of our own. The vast majority of commercial PRP kits worldwide run on sodium citrate or ACD, and it is with those same anticoagulants that the kits pass regulatory review. We keep to the same practice.
What this gives the doctor
Citrate binds calcium ions reversibly, so the blood stays liquid while the centrifuge runs. Heparin acts differently and gives no protection against platelet clumping. In comparative studies it causes aggregation and distorts the platelet count, which is why the authors call it unsuitable for preparing PRP.
For the doctor that means a predictable platelet concentration from one procedure to the next, and a control count worth trusting.
About the raw material
Sodium citrate is made from citric acid, and its origin is non-biological. The question of animal raw material and the trace impurities that come with it does not arise here.

How many tubes are needed per procedure?
The physician decides according to their protocol. Our estimates on this site assume two 8 ml tubes per procedure, which is what the PRP KIT contains.
Which anticoagulant is in ReLife tubes?
Sodium citrate with a separating gel. ReLife does not make heparin tubes: heparin alters plasma properties and is not recommended for PRP. More in the article on choosing an anticoagulant.
How does safety class 2b differ from class 2a?
Class 2b covers devices that contact blood and whose contents are injected into the patient. Sterility and biocompatibility requirements are stricter than for class 2a. The ReLife tube is registered as a class 2b device.
Is there a registration certificate?
Yes, Registration certificate RK-MP-5№016078. A copy of the certificate and the accounting documents for a legal entity are sent on request.
Can I buy single tubes?
Yes, 800 KZT per tube. For clinics with regular use there is the PRP BOX of 25 tubes, and wholesale terms apply to large orders.
